Lighting Design: Brandon Wardell
Scenic Design: Brandin Hurley

Production Details: The director's concept for this play was to set the initial action in the late 1950s. Then, when the time jump occurs it moves to the early 1970s where the lost princess has been raised on a hippie farm commune. So, there is a big contrast between wealthy court of the first half and dirty mis-matched commune setting. This production was supported by the NIU costume shop

Costume Details: I created contrast between the two worlds by keeping the court of the 1950s smooth textures and cool colors. The commune of the 1970s is all greens and warm tones with heavy texture and distressing. I worked closely with the scenic designer for the Queen's living statue reveal. I found a semi-sheer fabric the same color as the stone pedestal to drape over her costume. When she is revealed to not be made of stone the sheer overdress is removed.
