Production Details: This show was produced for the Black Hills Playhouse MainStage. The directors concept was that all costume changes happen on stage. The costumes were created with the support of the Black Hills Playhouse costume shop.
Costume Details: The costumes were designed to be transformative by the actors onstage. For example, Louis wears his swimming costume under his pants and shirt the whole show. When he spends time living on a remote island and his pants unzip at the sides as if coming apart and his under costume is revealed. When his formal clothing is fully removed for the final scene his swim costume is revealed. All the stripes are painted on the costume pieces to look more organic rather than printed (as if he did it himself while on the island).
