Black Hills Playhouse

Production Details: This was set in 1906 Oklahoma territory. The costumes were all heightened realism (exaggerated color and pattern), with one nightmare sequence  which featured more modern lyrical dance style costumes. This production had the support of the Black Hills Playhouse costume shop.

Costume Details: The costume concept for this production was to create visual interest through fabric patterns on the costumes. I used multiple patterns on all of the built pieces. Although most of the farmers and cowboys had blue jeans on the bottom all the top pieces were plaid or otherwise patterned. The color palette was sunrise colors: pinks, oranges, yellows, reds, and blue.
