Production Details: The director decided to set this musical in the 1990s, so the costume reflect that period. One unique experience with this production was that I had to quarantine due to Covid during the dress rehearsals so all final costume looks were done virtually with the help of the stage manager and production manager. There was no costume shop support for this show - all pieces were sourced and altered by me.
Costume Details: As there aren't characters in this musical, I asked the actors what styles of the 1990s they were most drawn to costumed them according to that style. Many actors leaned towards variations of the "grunge" aesthetic. The overall color concept was red and black.
