Production Details: This was a children's theatre production of "Peter Pan" with an all youth cast. The concept was that the children start in modern clothing and add the fantastical "Neverland" looks on top of the modern items. There was no costume shop support for this piece - all costumes were sourced, built, or altered by me.
Costume Details: The children keep their modern clothing on the whole time so the director wanted it to look like they were playing dress up when they go to Neverland. I kept the pieces small but cohesive for each group. For example, the pirates all added scarves, bandannas, or suspenders on top of their stripped red/white/blue modern ensembles.
