Little Women
Costume Design by Caitlin Quinn
Directed by Tim Sailer, MFA
St. Croix Festival Theatre

Production Details: This was an abridged production of Little Women done on a very small stage. The director and I decided not to use hoopskirts on any of the actors due to spacing concerns. Only the adult women characters wore multiple petticoats to give their skirts more volume. This production had no shop support - all costumes were pulled, rented, and altered by me. I was onsite at the theatre for 3 days of fittings and 1 week of dress rehearsals.

Costume Details: Each March sister had their own color and I designed the skirts and mens vests to be patterned to add texture. The most challenging part of the design was finding blouses to distinguish the March sisters and designing Jo's wigs to be easily maintained by the actress (there was no wardrobe or hair crew).
